Sometimes i get good results most time i get horrible results
On both X and. Y axis
Clearpath servos
10:1 gearboxes
2.5in pinion
6teeth to 1” gear rack i’ll put report below
Thin metal cuts are horrible
I need help with setup.

Re: I need help with setup.
hello.
thanks for posting a report.zip. it shows you have the overall turn ratio set to .65 turns per inch.
this is out of the sweet spot range of at least 1 turn per inch or greater for good machine performance.
if the pitch diameter of the pinion is 2.5" then that yields 7.85398 inches of linear travel per revolution of the pinion. that combined with 10:1 gear boxes yields .785398 turns of the axis motor per inch of linear travel.
need more info on material thickness, material profile data used, plasma unit settings etc..to help you more.

Re: I need help with setup.
post screen shots of the screens in the clearpath software so we can see them.
the RAS and steps per rev has to be set properly. see Acorn Plasma Manual page 47 and 48.
