Help with Sheetcam

Post by IronHead Brew »

I started learning Sheet Cam a few days ago, watched tutorials, etc. Successfully created a basic part and cut it out with the evaluation version, then got a license and installed it to start doing more complex parts and processes. Now it no longer cuts. It moves as though I told it to do a dry run with out performing a touch-off. I went back and compared the G-code of the 2 different files and the licensed version looks completely different. What could have changed in the post processing just because I installed the license? I've already re-downloaded and imported the post pp from here. I have also started over with new jobs.

This is what the G-code looks like on the working file...

and this it what it looks like now...

Two completely different files. One was posted in April, one in June. Hard to compare the actions when the files are different.
Cheers,

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

That's actually the 4th and 6th of Sept. The post from the 4th worked, than I installed the license and the post from this morning didn't. Gonna try with an un-install and see if I can duplicate the process but with the exact same part

FOUND IT!! and of course it was stupid easy. When I was first running the post, I was using the pulldown tab. Than one of the vids I watched mentioned the tab at the top. I thought he said the green P will run the pp. Ctrl P runs the first pp, the green P runs a second/different pp which is were things went south.

Thanks,
Rich
