Help please. No Vcp on cnc 12 start up

Post by rollinschris61 »

I used my acorn powered plasma table last night and everything worked fine. I went to you use it this evening and the vcp panel won’t come on, it just shows a blank screen. Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that PC does not even come close to meeting the minimum requirements to run CNC12. It has a single thread rating of 1168. You need a new PC that meets the requirements, here’s a link to those standards.

ok. great. please update to v4.80 so we all are on the same version. https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... loads.html

as far as CPU single thread bench mark if the CNCPC is not 1500 or higher....you will run into issues using Plasma Smoothing if you have a short vector G code program

hello. I just updated to v4.80 and have the same problem. the VCP no longer appears.

I also just realized that all my tool data has disappeared... is there a way to recover them or do I have to redo them all?

Yeah that really sucks. Mine was in a plasma cutter so I didn’t have any tool data to get lost but I just copied my plc files and deleted and reinstalled cnc12 and I was back up and running. It’s obviously some kinda strange glitch in the system.
