hear is a Proma divider https://proma-elektronika.com/product/p ... e-divider/

Sorry for the late reply. No progress on the Polabs Voltage divider yet. The Polabs Voltage divider actually flips the voltage from a negative voltage to a positive. Was not expecting that. Did examine the board and a tryng some TX Board modifications for cleaning up the Voltage. The Polabs was nice since it did clean up the Voltage quite a bit. Thanks for posting that Jeff. Looks like that board is inexpensive and might be worth checking out.

i personally used robot 3T bord it works fine i did not use it on acorn it was on another controller i also know few others that have also . theirs also a guy on FB form that used Hypertherm torch on Everlast also . it was a wile ago .

Hey guys, I've just had some time to keep researching and found that Hypertherm offers an upgrade option for their machines that didn't come with a cpc interface, including the voltage divider. I would assume it's the same piece that their machines get shipped with and therefore a probable solution for those of us with unusable or non-existing divider boards?

Different part numbers for the different strength machines.
428653 CPC port with selectable voltage divider board, Powermax45 XP
228697 CPC port with selectable voltage divider board, Powermax65/85 and Powermax65/85 SYNC
228884 CPC port with selectable voltage divider board, Powermax105/125 and Powermax105 SYNC

I'm more than ready to drop $162 on it If I know for a fact that it will work, but that's a lot to ask for a "maybe".

Also, If I were to test the Cut60 as it is now, what kind of behavior would I see as an indication that it's definitely not usable? Totally erratic, head crashes, close but not quite, no movement at all, etc?

Thanks,
Rich

I would pursue the voltage divider from Hypertherm. The last generation Cut60 and the Latest Generation CUT60 have both produced to much interference from there divided voltage output. We have tested these in house already.

Just as another data point, I have an Everlast 80s, and after doing the voltage calibration with the 80s at maximum (86A measured), and using HT 45A profile, then making the test hook cut with only the target voltage changed to 140V it seems to cut just fine. My guess is that the HT torch is much better and can cut faster on thicker material for any given amperage. Here are pics of Test_Hook. I am measuring about 0.010" taper on the kerf.

My next step is to recalibrate with a shielded nozzle so that I can use the torch touch instead of just the float switch.

When you recalibrate can you please post a report so I can look at the THC History Plot. Unless set in the M62 macro, the THC Plot will only capture during a calibration or a job interuption. I'm very curious what the plots will tell us.

Here is one of the last plots from an interrupted cut. I think this was one where the torch touched the plate right at the lead out. Let me know what you think. Also, it might be good to post in the sticky about how to look at the plots. I searched for hours to try to find where it was discussed how to view a plot. I finally figured it out when I saw plot.exe in the cncm folder.

The Voltage Doesn't look too bad. I can see that the THC Did not come on until the very end of the cut when the voltage started rising which Drove the Z Down. Can you Edit the M62 Macro to turn on the Plot function on all cuts? Just go to the mfunc62.mac file in the cncm folder and remove the semicolon at the beginning of line 15. Line 15 reads: ;IF #9523 and 64 THEN M94 /89 ;Runs Plot for Debugging. I have the M62 path and line 15 highlighted in the pictures. You can then gather plots from regular straight line or jobs without needing an interruption. Please post more plots when you get a chance

Will do, when I have something else to cut.
