Setting step/revolution

Post by AtomicAsian »

i’m trying to setup the correct steps/revolution.
i did what marty said and my measurements are correct but my rapid speed is at a snail crawl. So when i up the steps number the measurements are way off. how do you speed up the tables
Clearpath 6400 steps with 10:1 gearbox
thank you

There's an entire topic on this subject here on the forum. Here's a link to a bunch of reading and videos. Please post a current report so we can see how you have the machine setup up. Without it we can't be much help. With a current report we can at least see what you have your fast and slow jog rates set at also.

your best bet use dial indicator tune motors setting. speeds set buy slow fast ipm max setting be the rapid rate the rest controlled buy the feed rate setting in profile mgr you need to increase your ipm and acceleration settings till your motor cand do i the setting then back off 30 percent for safety that your max setting your table can do
