Ok, today I finally got around to updating to the latest beta 8 and reloaded all my settings from my screen shots from the last beta. All settings are as before and all functions work as before.

I cannot get past the torch calibration setup. The torch touches off on my .25" steel, pierces the steel and cuts a line just under an inch long and just stops. no messages on screen, no nothing, it just hangs up. There are no errors in the error log and everything functions as normal. What am I missing?

I had some issues with a bad ethernet cable and replaced it and no more log errors. The old cable must have been run over too many times with the PC cart. :o

Again, what am I missing? I've been cutting aluminum I beam for a week with zero issues.

Havnt seen that yet. Have you set the THC Question in the THC Config menu to "Yes"? I'll be at my machine in bit. I'll see if I can repeat the issue. Are you available for teamviewer after 12:30 EST?

Yes, I set the THC to "yes" per the newest manual. I know it's disabled in the g code for the test but I did set it properly. Don't be shocked but I actually followed along with the install manual because it's changed a lot from the earlier beta versions. I wanted to see what had changed.

Yes, I can be available for a TeamViewer any time after 2 EST. It's almost lunch time.

Checked out your message Log in the report. Looks like there are Ethernet Communication Error's popping up. Check out Tech Bulletin 270 for more information. Could be a number of possibilities.

TB270 has been recently updated.

Yes, I stated I had errors in the log file and that I had a bad ethernet cable. I replaced the cable and the errors are all gone. It still wont calibrate.

with beta 8 installed I'm having issues with low voltage again. The machine will start to cut and after the THC time out it stops dead in its tracks because of low voltage. Joey and Chris did a teamviewer session about a week ago which was the last time I cut with the machine. They made a few setting changes but the problem persists today.

Joey hinted at a bad voltage divider on the Hypertherm but the machine is less than a year old. Researching that now.

I'm trying to cut 12 gauge steel at 45 amps, target voltage should be 133 and I see about 49 and it simply stops cutting.

Current report attached.

hmmm..fyi...we helped travis debug his system last week and it turned out to be a bad voltage divider.

That's what Joey told me and I called Hypertherm to get troubleshooting guidance. The tech told me how to measure the voltage on pins 5 and 6 depending on the target voltage as to what I'm set up to cut. I was attempting to cut some 12 gauge steel at 45 amps which should yield a target voltage of 133 and at 50:1 I should see around 2.66 volts. I'll check this first and see what I get.

Hypertherm also told me that the voltage coming into their voltage divider board has already been divided 20:1 before it even gets to the voltage divider board. Then the factory default is 50:1output from the divider board. He said if the board ever failed it would simply output nothing and not a reduced voltage like what I'm seeing. He also stated that it cant output an overvoltage by design. And he mentioned that the only time he's seen a defective board is because it was wired incorrectly.

Joey also suggested I do the RX and TX bench test procedure with a power supply. I have a 0-18 volt benchtop power supply that I can adjust to 5v and do the test procedure in the manual. I've never actually done this test as it wasn't part of the manual/procedure when I first started beta testing.

Oddly, the machine was cutting about a week ago and today I get nothing. More testing Monday.........
