Please post it here also so we can see it or let us know where you adjusted the acceleration.

the acceleration settings in the motor settings in the acorn wizard . What happened was i loaded the new bata update it blew my settings out by bad no screen shots from when i first tuned the max ipm and acceleration i had 2.5 in there i changed it to 1.5 . i cand do faster
my max is 1.5 at 1000 ipm . That the max table can do before i miss steps . it set to a little slower the max ipm is 1200 . i keep it at 1000 .for safty not to mis steps . my x y axis are the same . my Z axis 1.5 at 300 ipm . im not happy with that i might do a motor change in wireing to get a little more power . all the motors are 34 900 oz 8 wire 72 v 3 to 1 reduction z 400 oz 34 8 wire gecko vampire drives

i just saw this i make a report

i also want to add i built a lot of plasma tables and fixed and retro them over the years . With hypertherm speed is necessary . with out velocity slowdown. That means like a 3 g corner speed is necessary . You need fast cut speeds on thin stuff . And slow speeds on thick stuff 12 ipm to 350 ipm
i found 3 to 1 reduction 1 inch pinion gear steppers 900 oz 34 motor works realy well . servo 5 to 1 pinion size determined buy motor speed
i used retroed many direct drive tables . They simply never cut good they get buy but never that perfact cut

My acceleration settings are .35 for each axis. Are you sure you have 2.5 or 1.5? Those aren't "speed" settings anyway. The default setting is .5, I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing here. Post a report for your machine and I'll look at your settings myself.

My ShopSabre with servo drives would go 1500 IPM and I had to slow it down because it's scary at those speeds. It'll never cut at those speed anyway, those are just for rapid moves between cuts. Seeing the gantry coming at you that fast will make you move out of the way. :D

Be sure to always make a backup after any changes and take screen shots of everything.

my acceleration settings are ACCEL = .15 this setting is how fast it comes up to speed and stops

Yup, I do know what the setting is for. I feel I get really good cuts right now on material up to 3/8” with my current accel/decel settings. I haven’t had a job yet to cut anything thicker but bought the Hyperthermia 85 just in case. :D

Don’t forget to post a current report Jeff.
