centroid with sheetcam.

Post by cardin3 »

I have been experimenting with sheetcam on my centroid table rebuild. I downloaded the sheetcam for centroid post. (works great!).
My question is has anyone used sheetcam to take full control of the table. i mean, using it to control all the pierce operations and possibly using the "wiggle pierce" on thick plate?

The M61 Macro can be Customized to Operate differently.

Can you Post some example Gcode of a Wiggle Peirce?

I'm assuming you would be looking for something like.

M61 is called

Touch off cycle and the Z retracts to the Pierce Height.
The torch is fired and X Y motion starts for the Wiggle pierce.
After the pierce delay the Torch Lowers to the Cut Height.

M61 macro ends.

yes that is what i was thinking. I have no experience with the wiggle type pierce but it sounds like it could be useful on thick plate as the torch would move around in a tight circle to lessen the chance of metal blowing straight up to the nozzle.
