yes sheet cam does manual nesting rotate parts .
but the production guys using Hypertherm pro nest auto nesting it nest itself
Maby you could check with Hypertherm they send you a demo since you're an oem to try test out with acorn lots of shops use it

Nesting is also built into the Vectric software. You tell it how many parts, can they be rotated or mirrored and it will automatically nest all 100 parts in seconds. Super handy when you have to cut 100 irregular shaped parts, nesting minimizes waste and calculates the shortest tool path to also minimize cut time.

i have use vectric it nice art drawing program and signs. but drawing precision parts to plasma cut i find fusion 360 much better either way you need sheet cam vectric and fusion cam for plasma lacks settings

I draw all my parts in AutoCAD, the drawing tools in Vectric are archaic and clumsy at best. It may be good for VERY basic parts but that’s about it. You can easily import any DWG and DXF and do all the tool pathing. Automatic nesting in Vectric just saves time and material which is the bulk of the “cost of goods sold” when using any CNC.

I am new to Centroid Plasma, this thread is very helpful. Since the last posting was a little more than two years ago I am wondering if there are any updates.

I recently purchased Sheetcam and I have successfully run test parts (with the exception of hole marking) it’s not clear to me what Centroid post processor it came with (or where to look for it). In this thread there is a beta post (“…with optional feed”). Has this feature been incorporated into the post supplied by Sheetcam? If yes, can someone point me to any available documentation on how to use it or better yet a YouTube video? If no, is this post still a good option to use and is there any documentation on how to use it or a video?
