THC not active <resolved>
Tried another cut today, THC AUTO led is on, THC is automatic in profile, I performed a calibration cut last time I used the machine, still no movement on Z while cutting. How do you guys tell if there is a valid calibration saved?

Re: THC not active
Re ran calibration, THC worked for 2 cuts, then in the third cut it got too close and contacted the steel. On restart THC was not active and the pierce delay was 0. All cuts since have had no THC movement.

Re: THC not active
Please tell us a bit more about the setup or better yet start a google album with lots of pics. What plasma cutter do you have? If it's not a Hypertherm the settings in the material profiles may not work for you if it's diving into the material. Have you tried the "smart sense" mode when cutting? This will tell you if your plasma cutter can use the setting in the profile manager or not.

Re: THC not active
Hey BMF
Your THC is still working and THC is Activating when it can but dang there's a lot of interference in those Plots.
The Yellow arc voltage is pretty wild, The orange is the THC enabled when purple Inti dive and the Blue X/Y velocity allows. Red is the THC Movement that is trying to work with that yellow arc voltage.
I can also see the Classic Chinese Plasma High voltage Jump before the ARC actually starts.
When Centroid released the Everlast/Primweld THC kits there was considerable work put into The THC software to Work around that "False" Voltage start.
Updating to the Latest Software like 5.08 will Get you the Latest Updates to how the THC recognizes when the ARC has actually started.
Link to the Latest 5.08 Build.

I see some of your plots had the Classic false start and torch Plunge at the beginning of the cut.
I think you were one of the first to hook up an Everlast to Acorn's THC correct?
What kind of CNC/Plasma Communication cable did you use?
Centroid Now offers a Cable for the Everlast THC Kits. Same for The Prime weld THC Kits.

Re: THC not active
I thought I would update this.
I found the issue. On a new material thickness I like to set the starting feedrate at 60-75% of HyperTherm numbers and speed it up as it cuts to find what works best for the Everlast. I set "Velocity Anti-Dive Ratio" to 70%. Now I can start it at 75% and work up, with perfect THC. No problems since.
