Hello
I need to Know is centroid provide servo movement from PLC ?
Most of the new machine tool changer (carousel motor=axis4) and evenArm (axis5)has AC servo it's provide a easy to program.
Any possibility?
I don't want movement in m6 or any other macro need plc to command directly as did in some other control too
Thanks
Aamir

No, Centroid does not provide that capability in any obvious way.

The usual solution, as you noted, is to have the PLC program send a signal back to the CNC macro, and do the servo axis movement in the CNC macro.

You could conceivably do something with the PLC MPG Offset mode features; but it would be a long and challenging road.

No, I have not written any applications that successfully use PLC MPG offset mode.

Is there no other position feedback (e.g. tool-counter sensor and arm-position sensors) for those components, other than the servo motor encoders?

If there were position sensors, then you could just enable and run the ATC motor servos through the PLC. They would not have to be addressable servo axes at all.
