HAAS mini mill to centroid controll

I have haas mini mill it 2001 old haas control . mill very clean all works

can some one tell me what gain i will have converting old haas controller to new centroid.

I'm not haas controller user not a mill guy mainly plasma user little router.

i sitting here struggling using this haas controller i real think new centroid might be easier better this hobby thing to me

so im in no time crunch do know how build controller wire them up .

main question what do i gain over haas controller that 2001 to centroid i go hickory ethercat install new motors

ease of use, program size limitations (expensive memory or drip feed), free support here, active software development and maintenance with new features free software updates, uses a modern PC
when something goes wrong it doesn't cost and arm and a leg.
