ARC in Intercon gives an error

Post by pascalken »

Hello,

We are trying to mill an outside circle with the ARC module in Intercon. In the ARC we choose CP & A.
We start with a straight G0 movement outside the workpiece and connect the ARC to the G0.
After posting we keep getting stuck in module N0001 on lines 13 (M41) and 15 (M40).

As far as I understand, these M codes relate to the spindle speed, and the error message (Turn off/on Z axis MPG mode) has nothing to do with this (see photo).

As a 2nd test, we called up an M40 and M41 via MDI and that gave an error [503 Invalid M function] (see photo).
The spindle motor has only 1 speed.

Please help

Please post your Intercon file.
Cheers,

Tom
Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

pascalken: unless your machine is a waterjet, change Parameter 19 to 0.

Centroid: fix the wording in CNC12 parameter descriptions, and in the operator's manual, so that people don't get the mistaken impression that they need to set P19 += 4 in order to use their MPG handwheel for the Z axis of an ordinary milling machine.

done, new cnc12 description for P19

MPG Options:
Default value = 0
Add 2: Z axis MPG speed selection "x100" will be the same as "x10" (Safety Feature)
Add 4: Allows manual adjustment of the Z axis position on the fly while running a G code job using the MPG. (Typically used with Flame/Waterjet)
Add 8: Set the Macro 1 button function on the WMPG-4 as a Torch On/Off button (Plasma)
