Lathe Parts Chute

Post by lavrgs »

I was browsing to try and find if there was a Centroid G or M code to extend/retract a parts chute on a lathe. The ALIN1DC has connections for it but I haven't found any info about activating it. Other systems seem to have G73 G74 commands, among others, but I do not see any mention in the docs

Part chutes tend to be far enough down the priority list that they get the leftovers: whatever M codes the retrofitter felt like using that were not already taken, or whatever the machine's previous control system used.

Older Centroid Hardinge retrofits generally used M22 and M23.

I see mfunc22.mac and mfunc23.mac control the parts chute - it appears that the the M22 and M23 are configured. I also found part cutoff functions...I'll take a closer look at all the functions
