wired mpg E-Stop integrate into plc
I connected a wired handwheel to the Oak. Now the E-Stop button still needs to be programmed in the PLC.

Re: wired mpg E-Stop integrate into plc
There are several ways to do it.
The simplest is to just locate every place where the PLC program tests "EStopOk_I" and expand that to read "(EStopOk_I && MPG_AUX_1_I)" (assuming, of course, that your MPG E-Stop button is normally-closed).

Buongiorno Houseman303,
Did you connect a handweel with an integrated emergency button?
How did you connect him to Oak?
Thank you in advance.

Emergency stop at MpgAux In1 and +5v. NC switching of the emergency stop. PLC programming is above.

Re: wired mpg E-Stop integrate into plc
Grazie,
In Europe it is necessary to have this emergency button.
Until now I have solved it in other ways, but this is much better.
Thanks again.
Emanuele

That's why I also have a wired handwheel. Wireless handwheel is not safety compliant. I could still imagine it with a Linux system, but definitely not with Windows 10/11!

i've been using it for about 5 years now, not one issue if you have windows configured properly for CNC use.Houseman303 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 4:05 am That's why I also have a wired handwheel. Re: wired mpg E-Stop integrate into plc
We also use it without problems, but in Europe, the handweel MUST have a hardware emergency button to the current regulations.
