CENTROID CNC7.17 LIMIT SWITCH TRIPPED, CAN NOT SET HOME

Post by scruz »

Good morning,

I am having issues with my CNC endmill. I have checked wires for continuity on the limit switch and the limit switch wire.

I attempted to create a report, but the software asks for a floppy disk. The floppy drive was removed quite some time ago and the HDD is now a compact flash card drive, which uses the power cable from what would have been for the floppy disk drive.

On an unrelated note, the original LCD flat panel stopped working over the summer and I had to install a VGA to IDC16 pin ribbon cable to allow a standard VGA monitor to work.

The key A is 410980690 and is currently running CNC7.17.

Any help would be appreciated.

power off and open up the machine so you can see the Z limit switch and examine it. is it tripped? if so, manually move the axis off the switch.

if not, check the wiring and the switch itself either could be broken.

It might also be informative to go to F7/Utility -> F6/PLC Diag., and post a picture of that screen.

The "Servo drive shutdown" message combined with the limit trip message suggests the problem might be on the M15DRV1 board.
