DXF import issue with ver 5.06 Pro mill All in one control

Post by the1depot »

I have tried several ways to import a dxf in to the control. Different versions of Autocad. I am using LibreCAD to generate the file. I get a file error on the screen. I have attached the files and the report for the machine. The file name indicates the version of Autocad file. I have watched the video and looked over the manual. I also did a search but did not see this issue posted. Thank You for your help.

Lavrgs Thank you for your reply

I have other Centroid controls and I'm familiar with the access through Intercon. It gives me a File error message. I have never run into this before.

Thank you Again

pretty simple part, why don't you just make it in intercon?

To actually address your question though: the problem is likely that your DXF file (each of them) contains just one entity, which is a SYMBOL.

You need to explode the symbol into LINE and ARC entities. Intercon's DXF import works only with lines, arcs, points, and maybe polylines. It does not work with symbols.

Yes the part is simple. I was trying to test the dxf import feature with simple shapes. Did anyone try to import one of the files. If you are having the same results. That would rule out a problem on my control. I will look into the symbol issue. As always thank you all for taking the time to help out
