Centroid 412 mpg1 encoder error
Hello,
I went to use our Centroid CNC and it won't move.
I restarted everything and it won't home.
I get the attached errors.
Does anyone have any suggestions where to start diagnosing this?
Thank you!

Re: Centroid 412 mpg1 encoder error
The "412 MPG1 encoder error" is not an error, and is not the problem.
It looks like your Z axis is unable to move. Possibly all axes are unable to move.
You can find out whether the problem affects just Z, or whether it affects all axes, by trying to jog each axis with the yellow jog buttons. It is not necessary to home the machine before using the jogging controls. Choose slow (turtle) and continuous (not incremental) jog modes.
Of course, any time you get a stall condition (such as "410 ... position error" or "411 ... full power without motion") you will need to then press and release emergency stop to clear the fault, before you can try jogging another axis.
Post a Report here, so we can tell whether you have limit switches, and what other faults might have been happening.

Re: Centroid 412 mpg1 encoder error
Thank you for responding.
When I jog each axis I either get a 410 position error or 411 full power without motion error.
By the way, the 'Current Position' shows as all dashes (no numbers).
Is it possible the machine doesn't know where it is and therefore won't move?
Thank you!

Re: Centroid 412 mpg1 encoder error
Our CNC does have limit switches which all are working.

Based on the info that no axis will jog. Do you have power to the VM terminals on the allinonedc? Is it between 100 ~ 165 VDC?

Re: Centroid 412 mpg1 encoder error
None of us are electricians but our shop manager says there is power to the VM terminal and he got a reading of 162V with a tester.
It seemed difficult to get a reading though. Like I said we are not electricians.

Press Alt-i to see the PLC Diagnostic display.
Are the first six dots on the top line -- INP1 through INP6 -- all green? Or are some or all of those first six dots red?
