improved keyboard operator control legend images for mill and lathe centroid cnc software.
as most of you know you can use a PC keyboard to control many of the same machine tool functions as the Centroid operators control panel (found on the centroid cnc console or m39 pendant).
"keyboard jogging" as it is called...is really much more than just axis jogging. from the main screen of the centroid cnc software press the "ALT" key and the "J" key at the same time to enter into "keyboard jogging" mode and the legend image pops up on the screen to let you know what keys on the keyboard control what functions, such as axis movement, spindle on / off, programmable auxiliary keys and more....
the new improved legend images attached can easily be used to replace the existing legend images which are hard to read.
both new mill and lathe legends are attached in two sizes. small and large. the small ones are for displays that are 1024x768 (or smaller) and the large version of the same image is for displays that are 1920x1080.
to use these images, copy them to the CNC11\BMPS folder (or CNC10\BMPS if you have an older system) and rename them to overwrite the existing legend images.
in my mill cnc11 system the existing file name of the legend image is "m_bigjogpanel.bmp" (this is easy to figure out just by opening the folder and viewing the files as icons in windows)
and the lathe cnc11 image is "l_bigjogpanel.bmp" . simply rename the new file you want to use to "m_bigjogpanel.bmp" (or "l_bigjogpanel.bmp" for lathe images)

Everything that I have seen shows the keyboard input for the z-axis as page -up and page down. When I activate the keyboard jogging and press page-down, it activates the incremental button.

Nice! Could it be configured to always open in the same location? If you pin it, it is cancelled upon close/reopen. Kind of like the new I/O screen.

Hi,
UPDATE.... I highly recommend using the VCP or the MPG for jogging. We still support PC keyboard jogging but the VCP and or the MPG are both better options for Jogging a machine tool.

WMPG is here. https://www.centroidcnc.com/centroid_di ... ndant.html

VCP comes as standard with latest CNC12 release for OAK and ALlin1DC found here...

VCP manual. is here..
