If there is going to be Abs/Inc entry, there needs to be a visual indication of the current mode.

Needless to say, this should *not* be tied to the similar entry mode selection over on the Offset Library screen, in the Lathe software.

dplain wrote: Sun Feb 05, 2023 4:43 pm As far as G31 functionality I would like it to "store" skip position on the fly instead of having to touch and back-off of the part and since the probe input is specified in the parameters you would not need to use the "Pxxx" argument.
Just trying to understand what your asking. Saying you want a 1 Touch probe hit (Instead of our typical fast hit then slow hit)?

So instead of saying M115 /X P50007 to acheive this, you would like to just type M115 /X or G31 X0 (and not need to input P value every time?)

Im guessing a G31 would set the Part 0 for that axis as well automatically when it touches ?

yeah, i was going to have the Inc light up Green like an LED on the spindle, but function key colors is a multi day thing so kicking can down the road till full skin of cnc12. So for now on screen indicator for Incremental Mode is what we are doing. should have build later today with that working for you to try.

Here's one for sometime down the road. I'd like to see an option for Z axis 100X lock out for the MPG (only use 10X or 1X). This has bit me a few times when first starting out, but have learned my lesson. Using the MPG to jog XY around and forget to dial it down to 10X before jogging the Z axis down. A 0.5" solid carbide v-bit (3 face ground to a point) looked like a railroad spike driven into my softwood board before it faulted out! :o
