ALLINONE Communication

Post by bgpv2xt »

Good Day
So I guess there was a hiccup with data and messages on this site in the recent past. This is a continuation of a previous problem that has been partially solved.
The situation now is when I go to use the ALLINONE I get rapidly repeating fault messages.
JOG PANEL CLEARED
and
COMMUNICATION FAULT
Also 2029 and 2099 are the numbers that go with the words.
I did a search using the numbers and words in the manuals but didn't get any where. Shouldn't those fault numbers be listed somewhere in the manuals?
I sort of understand there is a communication problem but don't know where to go from here.
thanks

i'd check the cable connections on the operator panel. are you using one or the VCP?

I will check the cables, just using the operator panel.

OK so I disconnected the ETHERNET cable on the operator panel and reconnected with no change. However I did notice the circuit board end of the cable has green and yellow STEADY indicator lights near the plug. But on the operator panel of the cable the green is STEADY but the yellow is blinking.
I will review the manuals and research that, also the messages that are flashing are
9029 jog panel communication in fault
2099 Message cleared

On an Allin1DC system, the jog panel does not use an Ethernet cable. The jog panel uses a 12-position Mini-Fit Jr. plug.

The only ethernet cable in the system would be used for communication between your control PC and the Allin1DC unit.

The message "9029 Jog Panel Communication In Fault" means that the Allin1DC expects the jog panel (handheld pendant, Centroid PN 11077, or operator console, Centroid PN 13181) to be communicating via that 12-position Mini-Fit Jr. plug, plugged into the H18 "OPERATOR'S PANEL" header on the Allin1DC; but there is no communication coming in there.

OK just cycled the Estop got a 4032 RESET CLEARED then hit CYCLE START and got a 327 FAULT:JOB CANCELED.
Another thing is the previous message that didn't post from yesterday.

Control Panel
Network& Internet>Network&Sharing Control
Access Type No Internet Access
Connections Ethernet
When I poke around with this it leads to a
Select Network Feature Type with three choices ...not listed in the manual
CLIENT
SERVICE
PROTOCOL
It was on CLIENT and seems to be the most logical choice.
Thanks again

Another thing I just remembered concerning CNCSNW's message. I never had a handheld pendant and H18 is not used in my machine ( never was). So is there a setting or parameter that will control that. I looked thru the parameters in the manual and didn't read anything relevant.

Even more, the ETHERNET cable has green and yellow LED lights on the ALLINONE board, but on the computer display where it plugs in the back the green light is steady but the yellow light is blinking.
