Moving Z and A at very different feed rates

Post by cncot »

Gentlemen:
I have to face mill a chuck adapter plate for my Centroid rotary axis with a right angle head on my Bridgeport. The adaptor plate is wobbling axially about .015".
Therefore I have to lower z very slowly, while moving A at around 750. If one tries Intercon linear, there is no separate feed setting for a and z. I have to move them simultaneously. How do I accomplish this? I cant see any G or M code to do this. Please help!
Thanks, Mike

See the section on multi-axis moves in http://www.cncsnw.com/4thHowTo.htm

In short, you need to decide:
1) How far do you want A to move?
2) How far do you want Z to move?
3) How long do you want it to take?
