RESOLVED .625 shafting encoder question.

Hi Gang, Still just trying to figure out how to make the Servo motors (Baldors) take on a 2K quad/diff encoder. The ones you have F14/F18 will not fit. I am trying to get the bottom off where the old encoder now lives. Does anyone have input on this? Some images:

Jay,

The motor shaft to the pulley is .625"

Typically the Baldor/SEM/Glentek motors have a backshaft that is a smaller diameter. Measure that.

We offer encoders in 6mm, 8mm, .25", .375" & .5" diameters

OK.. the backshaft I have is 1/4" .248 on a crappy HF scale. so I need to setup an adapter from 1/4" to 6mm or find a hollow shaft. Please notice that I only have 3/8" sticking up out the rear end. If you can help me get an encoder solution I'm ready to order! :-) Tired of the Mill just sitting here. Need a winter toy project. ;-)
