1988 CNC Chiron FZ12w mill with centroid
I have a 1988 CNC Chiron FZ12w milling machine that I'm thinking of upgrading with a centroid kit. I'm not sure if there would be any macro programming for the centroid firmware to recognize the tool changer and pallet changer. Any suggestions?

It will require custom PLC programming.
That is not terribly difficult.
The first step toward PLC wiring and programming is to make a list of all the output and input devices (solenoids, motor starters, limit switches and sensors) related to the machine devices. The second step is to find out what the tool-change and pallet-change sequences are, in terms of those outputs and inputs. For example, an action such as extending a tool changer arm might be: turn off the arm-retract solenoid; turn on the arm-extend solenoid; wait for the arm-extended switch to close.
If the machine is still running with its old control, you should take some videos of the operating sequences.
