Probe backoff distances /*SOLVED*/

Post by tblough »

I'm trying to probe the edge of a very narrow slot, and when the probe backs off after the touch it contacts the other side. I've adjusted parameter 13, but that seems to only affect the backoff after the first touch.

The second backoff or clearance move after the cycle has completed the slow touch and is moving clear of the work, does not seem to be affected by parameter 13. Is this second clearance move hardcoded into the probe routines, or is there another parameter I'm missing that controls it?

Tom,

Which probing cycle are you using to probe your edge?

Please ignore this thread. Senior moment and didn't realize that single surface probes don't do a second retract. DUH!
