Z AXIS ON LIMIT SWITCH PROBLEM ALLIN1DC

Post by philroy5033 »

Sorry but its me again,
Retrofitting 3 axis mill with a ALLIN1DC
Going thru the installation manual.
6.6 Homing the machine.

Problem occurred during installation and the set up of limit switches. x and y axis work perfectly ( hits limit and stops motion, runs other direction off of limit) switch).
z axis runs to the limit switch and stops correctly both directions, but when reverse direction to come off limit switch I get a" 411 FULL POWER WITHOUT MOTION"

SORRY BROGHT HOME LAPTOP FROM JOBSITE FORGOT IT NEEDS TO BE HOOKED UP TO THE UNIT TO DOWN LOAD REPORTS.
I will go back if you need more information
Regards,
Phil

The +/- limit wiring is swapped for Z. The drive section is hard wired to stop on the limit. This requires wiring changes. The PLC section can be corrected easily in software where the limit switch numbers are entered. These input numbers will have to be swapped after the wiring change. Right now you have the PLC inputs working, but the connections to the drive reversed.
