All-In-One 5-Axis Sim. Contouring

Post by bostomatic »

5-Axis Wizards,
I finally got my bench test completed (with 5-axis sim. contouring activated), but, I can't get this simple 5-Axis move to work (see pict). It works fine with any combination of 4 axii (normal mill software), but add the 5th axis to the line, and it gives a 509: Option not available, and a 544: Too many axes, errors - like the 5-Axis Simultaneous Contouring option is NOT activated. I have the CNC10 2.66+ 5-Axis Sim. Contouring unlock that Centroid sent me installed and it shows in the Report's machine parameters as active. I'm running CNC11-D Mill v3.16. I never installed CNC10.
Is the unlock incompatible? Do I have to install CNC10 and then upgrade it to CNC11?

Report .zip added. Note: All dates in this report, except today's date (4/5/2022) are ca. two years off, i.e. 2020 = 2022.

Code: Select all

Reported Generated: Tue Apr 5 00:09:38 2022
MPU11 serial number: 110181888
Version:
CNC11-D Mill v3.16
You need the CNC11-C edition of the software in order to run 5-axis simultaneous contouring. The unlock code alone is not sufficient.

You will need to contact Centroid to obtain CNC11-C or CNC12-C.

I found the CNC12-C Mill v4.14 stuffed away on a backup drive. It took less than 5 minutes to upgrade to it. I'm set now. Thanks again!
