Gentlemen:
I am retrofitting a Bridgeport (ANILAM 1100) I bought a centroid 200 rotary A AXIS.
I have begun to home my 4 axis in order to proceed to tuning and The TEST program.
I can home all 4 axis save for the rotary A which will only home in the (-) direction.
when I try to home + it goes to about 330 and stops "cant find Home"
I also have been able to autotune the first 3 axis, but not the A.
There is something wrong with the report file generator. It generated a 1.9 Gbyte file which I cant upload. It did this twice! I am going to copy it to iCloud , but that will take until tomorrow night.
please contact me so I can get you. a normal report file
Thanks,
Mike

Nothing wrong with the report file generator. If you've been tuning, the CNC(M/L/R) directory contains screen shots of all the tuning graphs (hundreds of them). Manually delete the graph HTML files either from the directory before running the report, or from the Zip file after running the report.

Re: Cant home rotary drive in the + direction, only (-)
I think others have run into situations where the Report would become very large, if they had stored archive files (maybe backup copies of CNC12 installations; maybe old reports outside of a "reportbackup" directory) in subdirectories inside c:\cncm.
If you have been storing backups in subdirectories below the c:\cncm directory, move them somewhere else.
Regarding homing: on the Machine Configuration -> Motor Parameters table, what numbers do you have entered in the "Home -" and "Home +" columns for the 4th axis?

Re: Cant home rotary drive in the + direction, only (-)
The files Tom spoke of are small and not many, so Toms suggestion is not the needed one. There are No immediately apparent giant files in the ccncm directory. HOWEVER I did find a backup of. the 4.20 installation in extra-report files, which I just moved to the cncuser/documents folder.
I need help from Centroid. I got THE MONSTER UPLOADED TO the iCloud Drive for sharing If it
the link is:https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/0eer ... 5F00-45-34
I will try later to make another report file, I am off to surgery now. Download the link, everything needed is there..

yeah the forum won't let you upload a file that is 1.9 gig!
open windows file explorer, what is the size of the cncm directory?

With the 39 scope gather files and the extra backup in the report removed, it is now a much more manageable 644K on disk.

Thanks, Tom
I am putting the report file you dissected in my request now. Thanks
Cnckeith, now please look at my report and see if you can help with homing the a axis.

Re: Cant home rotary drive in the + direction, only (-)
In the motor parameters table, I found a 7 in the home - and a 7 in the home + I changed it to 8 in the home + on a guess. now the (-) still works and stops on 0 degrees, but the + stops at 14 degrees. It used to stop at 330 degrees The find home + sits at 14 degrees and never completes. Unable to find home. What to do?\
Thanks, Mike

Re: Cant home rotary drive in the + direction, only (-)
Also, I forgot to mention that I was getting position DRO numbers on all 4 axis before installing V4.20 with the rotary PLC. Now I cant get the readouts to appear on the screen at all. What is wrong?
Re: Cant home rotary drive in the + direction, only (-)
To what PLC input did you wire your rotary axis home switch (if any)?
You won't get numbers on the DRO until you have set home for all axes (including the fourth). If homing fails with an error before setting home on the fourth axis, then home is not set. Look in the status window for error messages.
