DMM Servo pairing

Post by repauli1 »

I have my Y axis, and the 4th axis is "paired" to it. The 4th axis has REV enabled. Everything seems to be working fine, but I have concerns I am missing a step. I have seen several references of modifying encoder cable when reversing direction. Does this apply to my setup? DMM made up the cables, I did notice 3 called have black heat shrink on ends, and one has red, but with that said they delivered one a couple weeks after the first 3 were delivered.
Just want to make sure there are no functional issues I will be facing. I have had it air cut some gcode with no issues.
Thanks in advance!

Always post a fresh report.
Since you posted in the Centroid Oak, Allin1Dc forum, I assume you have OAK (not Acorn?)

If its working, it should be just fine.

When I post a report, doesn't that give everyone open access to my custom PLC Code, just curious.
Yes Oak, thanks for the reply!

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

I understand all that, and mean no disrespect. It's a real pain in the ass getting the report to my pc that has email. I really don't see the importance of a report when it's not a troubleshooting question, but a simple question about the basic install. But not my forum, I will comply in future.
Thanks for the help.

You mean getting the report to a PC that has Internet Access?
Are you building a proprietary machine for resale? If you want free support, we need to see how you configured CNC12. If you want to hold your secrets close, then I suggest you call Centroid and pay for support.
