Hello,
I have a ~1999 CNC7 Atrump K3FLC that lists rigid tapping as [ON] in the installed options menu, but it doesn't appear anywhere in intercon to select rigid tapping as an option. Not too big a deal, but if someone has any easy answer about the discrepancy, it would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: CNC7 Rigid tapping unlocked but not present in Intercon
Your machine does not have the mechanical or electronic components needed for rigid tapping.
You can use a self-reversing (e.g. TapMatic) head.
If you have (or add) programmable spindle speed through a suitable PLC and VFD, then you can use floating (tension/compression) tapping.
The only reason the rigid tapping software option shows "On" is because of a grandfather date, prior to which rigid tapping was included with the floating tapping option, and did not have a separate unlock.

Great, thanks so much for the quick reply. I also wanted to thank you for all the great info on your website that helped me
get this machine going again (it had no motherboard at all). I replaced it, added some PC104 spacers, custom adapter cables, and she fired right up!
