Centroid OAK power supply

Post by edfang »

Ok - struggling with just powering this thing up. And this is the FIRST LINE in the first setup. The documentation states the following :

Connect Oak Board to the power supply: Follow the instructions below.
1) Connect the supplied cables to the Mean Well power supply and the plug labeled Power on the Oak board. Connect
position 1 and 2 from H1 on the Oak Board to V4 and COM respectively.

However the picture doesnt show this at all. H! is 6 pin power header. And H2 is the 7 pin connector below it. The diagram shows pin 1 and 2 (24V DC and Com) on H2 connected to the Mean well power supply for V3 and Com which are the 5th and 7th wire from the left. There is no instructions to connect H2 pins 1 and 2 anywhere.

So my guess is that v4 and Com are potentially connected to h1 pins 1 and 2. But is H2 pins 1 and 2 supposed to be connected to V3 and Com as it is in the diagram, but not in the actual Oak insutrction manual ?

I'm not sure I follow you.
Your Oak power cable should have been connected from the Centroid to the Meanwell Power supply. Then you just plug the molex connector into Oak. You DO have to add the yellow +24VDC(V3) and black COM to the green Phoenix connector as shown. Take a picture of YOUR power supply, molex connector and OAK board.
On the side of the power supply is the legend for all the terminals.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. The 24dc power supply shown in the picture but no instruction anywhere about that. But yes - easy enough to see where to connect it. Just surprised something is in the picture but no commentary about it
