Setting for Z heights for tool change

Post by repauli1 »

I am a little confused, in the manual it references G30 (return 2 wcs) as Carousel change position. Is this the position above changer to allow tool changer clearence to move under spindle? Or is it the Clamped/Unclamp position of Z?

Thanks
Bob

It is the carousel level, at which tools are unclamped and clamped.

Most M6 tool-change macros for umbrella-type systems use Z home (machine zero, maximum height) for clearance height while the carousel rotates.
