Tool offset changed when setting z

Post by Ozyrob »

I had a strange thing happen today. I was resetting my z zero with tool 4 and when I pressed the accept the tool number would stay the same but the length offset would change to 1 giving me an incorrect z zero. I tried several other tool numbers and they worked as they should. I tried shutting down the machine and restarting it and it made no difference. Any idea?

In your Report file (the one you post with your inquiry) look up the tool library listing.

Perhaps you have inadvertently specified that H1 is to be used with T4.

That was it. In the tool library tool 4 was set to h1.
Thanks
