I have found when I jog any of my axis to a limit, the dro shows a none repeatable reading if I change speed with override. I am using the same switches for limit and home. Is there a way to decel to a fixed low speed when within "x" inches from limit? I would like to also run to limit and do a 1" backwards before homing axis..is this possible? Using DMM DYN4 1.8KW servos

Do you have software travel limits set?

If so, and if you have already homed the machine, then CNC12 will stop the jogging move at the software travel limit. If you get different DRO readings when the axis stops at the software travel limit, even though you have presumably selected Machine coordinates, then your system has probably dropped command pulses since you found and set home, or since you last pressed and released Emergency Stop.

If needed, you can customize your homing macro to do a fast move to a switch, then optionally back up, then do the normal homing move. However, the switch to which you do the fast move cannot be designated as a limit switch.
