Is the KP-3 the "replacement" for the previous versions of probes offered by Centroid?

We originally had a Dp4D early DSP version of the DP4, however the DSP ceased to work eventually and I disabled it in the control, using it as a standard kinematic probe.

The DP-4 has since died an ugly death and is resting In pieces due to a crash.

I have a cheapo probe that I use for rough setup, however I am looking to potentially begin some digitizing again and I do not like the cheapo for that.

Additionally does the KP-3 for legacy systems include the inverter circuit in the cable / connector so the tool touch probe can be used along with the KP-3 on the same input?

hello! yes and yes. KP3 is a replacement for DP4 and is what i recommend.

Looks like I will have to dust off the "Learning how to digitize a port with the E320 and TRT-32" again. Haven't done one in at least 10 years.
