M15 Encoder cables

Post by CNChobbyguy »

Converting an M15-6 to Allin1DC. Can I use my existing encoder cables, without changing the wiring of the DB9 connector?

Probably not. Centroid's DE pinout seems to be unique. I had to change my Acu-Rite, Fagor, and RSF encoder connectors.
Cheers,

Tom
Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

WHAT is an M15-6? Don't assume we know what it is....(Are you saying an old Centroid M15 Control?)
Also, please keep your questions to one build thread. That way we can scroll back through to see the prior information, pictures etc)
Please post pictures and details....

We're happy to help when you provide plenty of clear information. (Remember, we can not "SEE" what you "SEE")
