Hi
How can I run my home built 4th Axis's on my newly converted Allin1DC powered mill currently as a AC servo motor
So I would like to get step and direction information out of the Allin1DC
any information would help
Regards
Peter

Re: 4th Axis on Allin1DC
Step and direction is not an option. The Allin1DC is a closed-loop controller.
Depending on the type of servo amplifier you are using, you may be able to connect using an OpticDirect board, connected via the Drive Buss Out header on the Allin1DC. The OpticDirect can provide either pulse-train position-mode control (via a quadrature A-channel / B-channel signal) or analog velocity-mode control.
What make and model of servo amplifier are you using?
