How to set/zero a manual axis on CNC12 Lathe

This is a weird problem I ran into that is off the beaten path. I have scales on my mill and lathe so with a little spare time today, I thought I'd double check the turns/inch setting for my drives. I turned off the scales and set up a manual axis to display one of the scale inputs. This worked great on the mill because I could zero the WCS for the axis I was checking as well as the manual axis using Setup/Part.

However, when I got to the lathe, I could not figure out how to zero the manual axis. In lathe Setup/Part, you can only select the Z or X axis - I could not find any way like in the mill software to select the manual axis. I worked around the problem by setting my X or Z axis to the manual axis value, but now I'm just curious how I could have set the manual axis to zero.

MDI "M26/M" should set machine zero on that axis, assuming it is labeled 'M'.

Supposing it is axis #4, you could set part zero at its current location with "#2800 = #5024".

Thanks Marc. I did have it set as "M" and just wanted it, and the axis being tested, to start from the same value so I could eaisly compare the displayed and measured distance moved for calibration. Never thought to use the variables!
