Z height setting tool #

Post by Fueler1 »

I use the same tool (probe) for everything.
In the part Z setting (setup/tool/part Z zero) the tool number needs entered.
I sometimes (too often) forget to enter the probe # .
Is there a parameter # that controls that input that I can set to my probe # ?

Yes. There is a parameter that controls this. It's listed in the Mill Operator's Manual.
Cheers,

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Parameter 12 specifies the tool number for the probe.

It should then be filled in on the Z axis Part Setup screen when (and only when) you use the F4/Auto function to set Z using the probe.
