Yea.. tried that :) No workie. Just ran more tool changes and its fine so far. The ATC F7 not rotating is a pain though as the hard ware buttons to manually do it are way on left left side and a huge cover/dr has to be swung open to access them. The AUX8/9 work if I can remember them all the time) I have the Control Pendant coming tomorrow so maybe that will help. I just tried the the M80 with that Aux 14 key and it doesnt mater if pressed or not. The M80 Ctr start comes u with a "waiting for Carousel In" and sits there. Thanks !

Oh well, too bad.

Usually, a function will either work, or it will tell you the reason why not (e.g. in the message window and in the message log). But perhaps the PLC program and macros that you are using do not work that way.

Its stock PLC except for the recent changes for the single coil mod. Didnt work when on original when installed new last week. Why wont the ATC F7 work in a ATC licensed Pro system ?

If you look back to the PLC code picture I put up you can see that the carousel actuation by M80 and M81 can only happen during an M6 macro or while the ATC override key is pressed.

So, holding the ATC override key while you press cycle start on an M80 or M81 from the MDI should work.

Yea.. Got it ) so the atc override key is the right most button in the coolant section.. Got it.. pressed it on off, held it down before, during and inbetween the CTR start . Tried every aux button on the VCP while doing it. Trust me,, it dont work. Didnt work on the stock PLC either.

If you search in the PLC file for AtcOverideKey_I it says what position the button is at. I only have my phone at the moment and cant look.

Once you get your faults sorted, hopefully you shouldn't have to manually retract it ever.

If needed a button or m code could be easily set up to force a retract.

Yea I did bud.. Row 5 Col 5.. Thats the far right coolant.. Ill try again tomorrow with new Pendant.. the glass VCP doesnt do it for me :) Thanks for help guys.. really appreciate it.. The tools change perfect every time . I ran a program today and ran through 100 changes with no issues.. The ATC F7 function is all I need to fix. Other than that its finish time.. DMM drives and motors, Yaskawa A1000 VFD and CENTROID OAK is bringing this 9000 pound boat anchor back to life.. Just in the neck of time, as my Hass Mini mill is overworked...

Nice work. I'd be keen to see some photos.

I am pretty sure the hold down of that key in the VCP wont work. It is a different set of inputs. It will work on the jog panel.

How did you get on with the DMM drives? I am interested to know what sort of travel speeds accelerations you can achieve.

You could ask Centroid about the F7 button. If you are lucky you might get some help.

.100 on the accel on the 3 axis and 500,500 x/y 400 on Z for ipm max. Not peaked/tune perfect im sure but no errors yet and fast enough..

Interesting. I have been struggling to get fast acceleration and speeds. If if go to fast acceleration I get banging and shuddering on moves where there is a curve made of lots of little lines. I wanted to be able to do profiling at around 80 Ipm but anything much over 30 makes it harsh. I'd be keen to see some videos one day once you have it all running.
