Fadal Cold Start

Post by Talyrond »

Hi, I'm looking to purchase an OAK CNC Controller. I would like to mimic the way a FADAL references. They have a simple system where you line markers up on the axes and then run a command – CS. So I'm thinking I would need a button to press that initiates the reference procedure. The button I guess would need to immediately set the home switch input so it can then reference. I understand this will need PLC work. Happy to get involved with the PLC.

Do we think this is possible?

Hope this make sense!!

Thanks

Julian

Centroid does this. Configure the control to home to marks. When you start the machine, you jog to your marks and press the start button. Axis are then zeroed to that point.
Cheers,

"Machine Home at Powerup" "Ref Mark – HS" option moves to the first index pulse it detects when homing from a mark. This allows for homing to the same position after each start up. "Machine Home at Powerup" "Jog" option sets home right where the machine is when cycle start is pressed without moving. You should double check that I remembered the menu options correctly, but both ways are certainly possible. Home switch inputs should be set to 0 in the menu for both methods.
