What is the fastest an mpu11 can thread on a lathe (spindle rpm) ?

I think you'll be limited to your servo's acceleration over the MPU11's signal bandwidth, and therefore "fastest" depends on your individual servos and the pitch of the thread you're cutting.

What will happen when the limit is reached?
I have a big order and I’m trying to determine how fast we can cut a successful thread.
It’s 9/16-18 in 12l14 material

You should get overcurrent or position errors once you start exceeding your accell rates. These will probably occur right at the start when Z is getting up to speed, or more probably at the end of the thread when X is trying to retract out of the cut.

Try it and see. Worst case is you'll scrap a part - should'nt damage the machine. I regularly thread at 1000 rpm on my Hardinge conversion.
