Your videos have been a great help!
The only hurdle I need to conquer this week is that system test. It seems very touchy on where it wants the limits set.
I tried it a few times, thought I was getting closer but yet still failed...lol

But I will get it sorted out this week.

Thanks again for all of your input.

So now that the mechanical and electrical are for the most part finished I started to fine tune the software some more.
I did get the revs corrected for the rotary, as it has a 72:1 gear ratio. Now it turns at the correct speed.
I have 2 different situations.
The wireless MPG came on friday and was very simple to connect.
But...... If you put it on the 4th axis and the rate at 1x the rotary table move indefinitely. If you move the knob to x10 or x100 it will stop.
The x10 and x100 also seem to be way off as far as how much it is moving.

The next situation is the VCP.
20211101_172613.jpg
The set x0 and set z0 also moves the rotary. The set axis 0 and set all 0 buttons do nothing.
I also tried to use the chuck clamp and un-clamp to simulate m10 and m11 to lock and unlock the rotary.

I am not sure if it is me doing something wrong, or is it these features are not implemented with the allin1.
But we are moving forward. Everyday I try and do something to tune it in.

Thanks guys.

I adjusted the software travels by .100 and the test started to move to the next phase.
It is a good thing I did not walk away!!! The Z axis does not move all the way back up but stops about mid travel and the x started moving.
I have the rotary on 1 side and the angle plate on the opposite side. It would have been a major crash!
I need to move the rotary to the right side where it is supposed to be anyway. It was on the left when I received it so I just let it be.
Needless to say the test could not finish.
But I am attaching the report to try and figure out why the wireless mpg moves the 4th axis strangely on x10 and x100 but indefinitely on x1.
Also on the VCP the set x0 and set all0 also move the rotary which is really weird.

If anyone can help out on why these are happening would be terrific.

Thanks in advance.

Try changing Parameter 41 (the rotary axis jog increment) to something like 0.001 or 0.010 degrees.

Thank you Marc. I will try it today.
Any idea why the VCP buttons move the 4th axis when they are labeled set x0 set all0?

Thanks

Thank you once again Marc.
Default was 20. I changed it to .010 and it works great. Should I try the .001? Or just leave it alone.

Keith I have that pdf and have read it a few times plus followed the video.
Some of the buttons do not work with the allin1? The set axis zero buttons do not work at all.
And the set x0 and setz0 buttons move the rotary table which is strange.

I will work on it some more.

I could use some help to sort out two minor issues. Or should I say a fresh set of eyes.
The machine is working perfect. I have done a few tiny jobs on it and the control is easy to use and understand for a cnc novice like me.

I have the VCP panel setup as in the TB194 with the 1-shot buttons. Keith posted the svg files in another thread for the buttons. I put them in today.
For some reason the One-shot Face\Aux7 does not work. The parameter is set correctly @10.
Also the 4th axis clamp button does not work. If I MDI M10 and M11 the clamp is functioning.
I do believe that I loaded the rotary clamp src file, but I see another in there that I may have modified to use out4 for the mist and out6 for the clamp.
I am posting a report from today if someone can look at it and see what I am doing wrong, or nudge me in the right direction.

Getting rid of that old control was the best thing I ever did. It was not cheap or easy but all worth it in the end!

Again I would like to thank everyone on here for great support.

Chances are the key you have in the Aux7 position of your VCP is not identifying itself as Aux7. Compare the "skin event" number in its XML file with the definitions in the PLC program you are using.

To find out for certain what PLC program you are using, look at the comments on the first several lines of your "mpu.plc" file.
