How to turn on Screw Comp?

I tried to turn screw compensation on today but it said something along the lines of "Invalid Axis Travel Limit Settings". I am not sure what that means. I have a + and - travel limit set for each axis. I also tried turning on Screw Comp for each axis but it didn't help.

What have I missed?

I am pretty sure that screw compensation can only be enabled if the axis in question has exactly one non-zero travel limit.

If the axis homes to the minus side, then the minus travel limit must be zero, and the plus travel limit must be positive however much travel you have available.

If the axis homes to the plus side, then the plus travel limit must be zero, and the minus travel limit must be negative however much travel yo have.

OK, thanks. I will check those documents out. All my travel limits are non zero so that is probably it.

Seems a bit dumb to me that a zero is required. Even my 25 year old controller allowed configuration of the screw compensation start and intervals to any value you wanted!
