MSI MS-6787 (P4MAM series) eating BIOS batteries

Hi All,
I'm working on an M400, #20950 that is suddenly losing BIOS memory every 2-3 months. It worked fine for 12-14 years (I don't remember when it was new, maybe 2008) and now three times in the last year, I've had to reload the BIOS settings. The battery still measured good, but each time I reloaded the BIOS settings, I also replaced the battery. The motherboard is an MSI MS-6787 (P4MAM series). Has anyone else come across a problem like this? In the event that I must replace the motherboard, does anyone have any recommendations? If not, I will have to upgrade to CNC12, with whatever that entails, either MPU11 with Legacy add on, or AllInOneDC.
