Do you have instructions for the control box?

Can you identify two wires that need to be closed together to start an index; and two wires that the control box will close together to show that the index is complete?

On an M400S with a DC3IO, the most common arrangement would be to connect the first two wires -- the index start signal -- to the "Clamp" output relay (OUT30, on H11), being sure to remove any pre-existing 120VAC connection from the relay terminals; and to wire the second two wires -- the completion signal -- to the "Rotary Ack" input (INP31 and Input Common, on H13).

Often there was an M12 code already provided that would trigger a rotary index and wait for completion.

My earlier post should cover what you need.

If you need further help, post a Report from your system, and a picture of the existing I/O wiring on the left side of your DC3IO unit.

Interface a Haas HA5C Rotar with a "Control Box"
Define the control box. Is it the HAAS stand alone controller that came with the HA5C?
Pictures are worth THOUSANDS of words.

Personally, I would ditch the control box and get a 4th axis from Centroid and let the Centroid Software control it.
But, that's me.... :)
