Hello all, just starting a retrofit of a horizontal dual pallet Mazak HTC 400. This particular machine has a servo that rotates a round tool carousel with a big timing belt. I have 31 pockets on this tool carousel and the X and Y axis travel to a specified lower corner position to slide the tool into the carousel. The carousel then moves out, rotates and places the new tool into the spindle. Wondering if anyone has a PLC for this type of setup already made or a programmed M6 Macro that works with the Oak board to make a tool change like this happen.
Thanks for the input as usual.

Re: Tool Carousel as an Axis
Eric, you will likely have to hire either Marc Leonard or Centroid to work out the PLC. You have to document very well how it operates.Eric S wrote: ↑Tue Mar 16, 2021 5:12 pm Hello all, just starting a retrofit of a horizontal dual pallet Mazak HTC 400.
