As of 9/24/2012 all ALLIN1DCs being shipped are now capable of running motors up to 180VDC (nominal).
Now you can directly rectify 110 VAC with our cap and bridge pack eliminating the expensive step down transformer while increasing motor performance at the same time. (Just as long as the servo motors being used are rated above 160 vdc. like our 29 and 40 in lb motors)
This change is in effect on all ALLIN1DC's S/N 538 and later.
As a frame of reference, ALLIN1DC s/n538 shipped 13 Sept 2012
This also opens up savings opportunities while retrofitting: Many DC based cnc machines tool run the servos in the 120 to 130 VDC range, now you can reuse the stock DC servo power power supplies and servo motors, saving $, install time,and cabinet space.

I assume you mean there is no longer a need for a step-down transformer.
Unless the All-in-one will now somehow use an AC input, there would still be a need for a rectifier bridge and capacitor, whether new from Ajax or part of an original control system.
Is the change to the All-in-one just in the MOSFETs, or were other components changed as well?
How do we quickly identify in the field whether an All-in-one unit is capable of handling the higher voltage?
Is this same upgrade available for DC3IOB units?
