Price sheet?

Post by Anorad »

Hello, just a quick question on options. I'm having a hard time figuring out what software is needed for what option. Does the pro version of the software give the ability to use a digitizer. Does the digitizer package carry the pro or ultimate software. Is this spelled out somewhere? I've been trying to figure it out and how it all ties together or doesn't for two days. If there is a link to a post I missed, my bad. TIA :D

P.S. Part #10770 is what software?, free, pro, ultimate?

*Found part of my question: Digitizing for free and pro limited to 2500 points, ultimate is unlimited. Probing is limited to bore in free. Pro and unlimited Complete Set of menu driven probing cycles.

AFIK, 10770 software option is for older versions of Centroid CNC11 & CNC12 based on the a la carte option model and is now included, with limitations, in the Free and Pro level packages, and without limitations in the Ultimate package. For use with 4.18 software, I would contact Centroid sales as I assume some price adjustments have been made as you now only need the probe itself. You are also free to use probes from other manufacturers although they will not be plug and play.
Cheers,

Tom

Thank you both and thank you Marty, you pulled me through my v2xt retro from start to finish. Thank you too Tom, I'm good at hardware configurations (machine maintenance technician 25yrs. on hundreds of different manufacturing machines, I could troubleshoot and fix cnc Bridgeports without even knowing how to operate them, I'd leave that to the operators lol). I guess my question still remains, do either of you guys know which software package comes with the digitizer if I buy it here - pro, ultimate, or something else? Maybe I have to get in touch with sales like you say Tom. I'm trying to gain a cost perspective that will give me the most for the money without having to back track and waste time, money, and/or capabilities down the road. I have my machine in my garage and don't use it for commercial production at the moment but, when I finally retire who knows. I get more pleasure out of fixing things than using them sometimes. I am learning how to program now though.

You can start with Pro, if it doesn't meet your needs you can upgrade to Ultimate for about the same money. Look at the first top line on the table I sent you a link to above....
Otherwise, you can give Centroid a call. They are probably going to want examples of what you want to do.
