I meant Marc Leonard (cncsnw)
The full power without motion is the control is trying to drive the motor and sees no movement from the encoder. Which makes sense if that direction is dead.

Don't quote me on this but I believe Centroid will repair that particular problem for $350. You would have to call them to confirm. The have to look over the unit to give you an accurate estimate.

Your other alternative is to uprade to the All in One DC board. You can trade in your existing motion control board in order to transfer your software unlocks to the All in One DC. You would have to discuss that with Centroid.

Ok I just ordered the All in One DC board. When I get going on this should I start a new thread for updates and questions?

Yes, since the subject line of this thread has nothing to do with installing an Allin1DC as an upgrade to an early SERVO1 M39, you should start a new thread with a new and apropos subject line.

You can start a new thread. Just post a link to your Google photo album.
I trust you called Centroid and worked out the software exchange for your old motion controller?
